Hick Helps Earn $500K NSF Grant

Associate Professor of Education Sarah Hick and her small team of colleagues at the Saint Paul Public Schools and the University of Minnesota were recently awarded a five-year, $500,000 National Science Foundation Noyce Grant to support the development of 15 secondary science teacher leaders in the Saint Paul Public Schools.

The grant will provide extensive professional development and mentoring for the selected teachers and support their district and regional leadership projects with stipends. Additionally, the grant covers tuition for all participants to complete their Education Specialist (EdS) degree in Leadership for Equitable Innovation and Transformation here in Hamline' School of Education and Leadership.
