Commencement Volunteers Needed

Commencement is one of our proudest moments at Hamline and this year the special day is Saturday, May 11th. There are two undergraduate ceremonies (10:30 a.m. & 1:30 p.m.) and one graduate ceremony at 4:00 p.m. at the St. Paul RiverCentre Grand Ballroom.

It takes many colleagues to make the event successful. More than 50 Hamline staff members work on the day of commencement, nearly half due to their job responsibilities, and the rest are volunteers from various departments. Volunteers are placed in a variety of roles (e.g., ushers, customer service managers, grad line-up assistants, marshals, and more).

If you would like to work at commencement, please sign-up via this Google Form by April 12th. We do ask supervisors to create flexible schedules for staff working at Commencement.   This day is a wonderfully joyous occasion for everyone involved and builds great Hamline camaraderie. We’d love to have you join commencement day on May 11th!   Please feel free to reach out to Conference & Event Management staff with questions: Kelly Rudney, Director, at krudney01@hamline.edu or 651-523-2789; or Nicole Ferrer, Associate Director, at nferrer01@hamline.edu or 651-523-2167.
