"Clearing the Air" Seminar is February 23

All are welcome to attend as the Hamline Chemistry Department presents "Clearing the Air: A View Into Climate Change and Health Through Cooking", by Professor Deborah S. Gross, the Charles “Jim” and Marjorie Kade Professor of the Sciences and Professor of Chemistry at Carleton College. The event is Friday, February 23 at 12:40 p.m. in West Hall 101.

Professor Gross writes: "My talk will likely be of interest to students in Environmental Studies/Science and Climate Science/Sustainability as well. If it's possible to advertise it in a way that will reach those folks, it would be great. I will be talking about designing cleaner cookstoves to replace biomass stoves used in Ethiopia, with particular emphasis on air quality but I will discuss climate, environmental, and health aspects of the problem, as well."
