Trevor Block

Vice President for Institutional Advancement

Trevor Block, MBA, CFRE, serves as Hamline’s vice president for Institutional Advancement. In this role, he oversees alumni relations, philanthropy, conference and event management, and grants.

Block has more than 10 years of experience in development positions for educational institutions. Prior to joining Hamline in June 2025, he served as chief development officer for the College of Health and Human Services at Western Michigan University Foundation in Kalamazoo. His prior roles include director of development for the Wisconsin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin Foundation in Madison and director of development and annual giving at Marian University in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

Trevor holds an MBA from Western Michigan University, as well as dual bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and Mass Communications/Spanish Language and Hispanic Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Trevor also holds a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification, the internationally recognized professional credential for fundraising executives who demonstrate expertise, experience, and commitment to ethical philanthropic practice.
