The Rev. Heather Grantham serves as Interim Associate Chaplain for Christian Life for Hamline University in addition to her full time position as Associate Pastor for Spiritual Formation for Hamline Church United Methodist (right across the street from campus).

Heather was born and raised on the Osage Nation reservation in Hominy, Oklahoma (family still there), and holds Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Music, Religion/Philosophy, and History from Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas. Rev. Grantham earned her Master of Divinity from San Francisco Theological Seminary and is ordained through the Presbyterian Church (USA) while serving in a validated ministry to the United Methodist Church. Heather is an active member of the Twin Cities Presbytery, serving on the Presbytery Leadership Team and the Pastoral Leader Care Team.

Before coming to Hamline Church, Heather served in ministry through a variety of ways and places: from the United Church of Christ in the Philippines, to the national offices of the PCUSA in Louisville, Kentucky, to entrepreneurial ministry in the San Francisco Bay Area. Heather and family moved to the Twin Cities in 2014 when her partner, Sunasir Dutta, became a professor at the University of Minnesota in the Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship department of Carlson School of Management. Sunasir and Heather currently live near the St. Paul UMN campus with their three rambunctious kids: Shiprah, Shomeer, and Shabhit.

Heather's portfolio at Hamline Church contains spiritual formation for all ages, spiritual care, newcomer experience, worship leadership/planning, leadership support, and Hamline University outreach.

A Hamline University, Heather provides pastoral care of students and staff, guides and coordinates Christian ministry on campus, and collaborates with other chaplains and spiritual-life partners to support holistic spiritual care for students and the campus community.
