Hamline School of Business career management services offer guidance with academic development, career direction, and necessary skill sets, all so you can advance confidently within your chosen field.

    Services provided include:

    • Individual development planning. Discover and focus on your personal development plan in order to precisely organize your next steps. 
    • Individual career planning. Work with a mentor to strategize career goals and the actions necessary to achieve them. 
    • Workshops. Attend events and participate in conversations that will help develop the skill sets necessary to stand out in your chosen field. 
    • Panels. Meet with recruiters and alumni to discuss the qualities an ideal candidate possesses and how your professional peers have encompassed those qualities. 
    • Job and internship postings. Search and stay up-to-date on current opportunities in your field.

    About Our Workshop Leaders

    NONPROFIT: Brad Ballinger has spent over 25 years working in the independent sector, where he designed leadership development programs. In 2013, Brad joined Cincinnatus, a long-standing Twin Cities consultancy serving the nonprofit community. At Cincinnatus, Brad works with clients on board governance, strategic planning, and leadership search.

    BUSINESS: David Magy has developed an outstanding reputation over 30 years of recruiting key talent for a wide array of businesses, including Honeywell, Pillsbury, and Farm Credit Services. He was a founder of Abeln, Magy, Underberg & Associates, a regional recruiting firm serving Fortune 500 businesses, family businesses, and other organizations.

    PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION: Gary Weiers has over 20 years of experience in county government management, culminating in heading a $50 million organization with over 350 employees. Gary has specialized in recruiting for a wide variety of government organizations and job positions since joining David Drown Associates in 2013.
