Instruction

Kaori Kenmotsu, Hamline's lead professor in theatrical movement and dance guides the Dance Ensemble to physical expression through student, guest, and personal choreography. With an extensive background in yoga and Laban Movement Analysis, she encourages students to find authentic expression utilizing ones entire body.

I've completely fallen in love with dance, and I owe that entirely to Kaori Kenmotsu, my dance instructor. Kaori helps us see how movement looks on your own body; it's not about looking the same. She changed my view of dance forever and inspired me to be a good dancer, to have fun, to start choreographing."
