About Hamline University Faculty Senate

Formed pursuant to the Faculty of the Whole vote in Spring of 2025, Faculty Senate replaced the Faculty Council, which was established in 2007. The Faculty Senate consists of all Hamline University faculty, including teaching-track, visiting, and contingent faculty members. The seven-person Executive Committee includes four elected members and the chairs of the Academic and Strategic Planning Committee, Curriculum Committee, and Faculty Personnel Committee.

The members of the Executive Committee for the 2025–2026 academic year are:

  • Sarah Greenman (CLA): President-Elect
  • Letitia Basford (CLA-HSEL): Secretary
  • David Davies (CLA): At-Large
  • Shelly Schaefer (CLA), Chair, Academic Strategic Planning Committee
  • Julia Reimer (CLA-HSEL), Chair, Curriculum Committee
  • John Mazis (CLA), Chair, Faculty Personnel Committee
