    StepUP! | Fall 2018 Events

We are excited to announce Hamline is moving to StepUP! as our bystander intervention program to educate students about how to be proactive in helping others. You might hear folks talking about being a GreenDot campus, we decided to make the transition to StepUP!, because their approach builds on GreenDot while providing us opportunities to think more intersectionally and inclusively in how we respond to concerns and interrupt unwelcomed actions in our community. Want to learn more about being a bystander and what stops us stepping up in situations where we see something that isn't right? Want to learn some tools and skills to help step up more regularly? Then this training is right for you.

Join us at one of the three fall trainings:

    • Open Training & New Student Throwdown, are you a first year or transfer student, or someone who has never done a Green Dot training? Then this one is for you. This session will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 4:00 p.m. -5:30 p.m. in Anderson 112. We ask that you pre-register here by Sept. 16th so we have enough materials.
    • Have you done our Green Dot training before? Want to learn the StepUP! model? Then join us for this crash course.Thursday, September 20, from 11:15 a.m. -12:45 p.m. in Anderson 305. pre-register here by Sept. 16th.
    • Are you a faculty or staff member who is interested in learning more about StepUP! and want to think about how to engage your students? Join us. Tuesday, October 16, 4 - 5:30p.m. pre-register here by Oct. 10th.
