    The Hamline University Center for Justice and Law recently convened an expert panel to discuss the ongoing immigration crisis in the United States. The panelists, included someone from the ACLU, Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota, the Advocates for Human Rights and an immigrant, provided 200 attendees with individual actions toward ending the situation. A post-event survey indicated that many people acted on these suggestions and took steps to help immigrants.


    Eleven teachers and staff from a school in Kauai, Hawaii visited Hamline University to participate in the Rivers Institute on the St. Croix. Their mainland adventure was part of a collaboration with Hamline University’s Center for Global Environmental Education (CGEE) that will support the Hawaiian school's special curriculum and environmental focus that is designed to help keep the Niihau culture and language alive.


    Hamline University has hired Dr. David L. Everett as its first Associate Vice President for Inclusive Excellence. He will begin his duties on Monday, August 27.
