Working in higher education comes with unique demands and pressures, so it is essential to have the skills to cope with all that life throws our way. This interactive workshop focuses on both understanding the nature of stress and enhancing our own stress coping strategies. We will dive into what causes stress, how stress impacts the mind and body, and what to do about it. During this time, we will explore different perspectives and grow in understanding how stress impacts different people. We will engage in relaxation and stress reduction strategies either individually or as a group, and wrap up with a charge to practice coping strategies proactively so the skills are there when we need them.
The CTL Advisory Council invites faculty and staff to attend this workshop led by Jessica Lang on October 20th from 11:30am – 12:30pm.
