Join Us for the Careers in Student Affairs Month Reception

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to explore a career in Student Affairs? Student Affairs is a broad field within higher education focused on supporting students' personal, social, and professional development outside of the classroom. From student orgs and leadership development to ResLife, career services, orientation, advising and more, there are many ways to build a career supporting college students.  As part of Careers in Student Affairs Month, we invite you to join us for our Careers in Student Affairs Reception!  Wednesday, October 21st from 4-5:30pm in ANDC 112.  At the reception, you’ll have the opportunity to:
  • Meet alumni who are now working in Student Affairs and hear about their career journeys.
  • Learn about different career paths and what Student Affairs professionals actually do.
  • Ask questions about graduate school, entering the field, and building a career in higher education.
  • Connect with professionals and fellow student leaders from across campus.
  • Explore how your own leadership experiences and interests could translate into a career in Student Affairs.
You don’t need to already be considering a career in higher education to attend. Whether you’re passionate about student leadership, community building, mentoring, programming, advocacy, or simply curious about what “Student Affairs” means, this is a great opportunity to explore what’s possible. Come with questions, leave with connections, and gain a better understanding of the many ways you can make a difference in the lives of college students. We hope you’ll join us!
