The Pipers defeated Saint Benedict 3-2 (25-21, 22-25, 25-22, 13-25, 15-12) on Saturday. The Pipers trailed 9-5 in the fifth set before moving ahead 11-9 and closing out the match. Sophia Johnson led Hamline with 25 kills and 26.0 points, adding nine digs and one ace. Cairns finished with 16 kills while hitting .367. Sand recorded 47 assists and a team-high 17 digs. Claire Siems added 16 digs and three service aces.
