Prof. Valentine Cadieux publishes AFHVS presidential address, with commentaries: Translating care in defensive times

Wrapping up three years in the presidential role for the Agriculture, Food, and Human Values Society, Professor Valentine Cadieux has this week published her Presidential Address, "Translating care in defensive times: We are not here to take over; we are here to take care," in the Society's journal: Agriculture and Human Values (https://rdcu.be/fzFCC). Two commentaries accompany the piece, the first by Attorney Stephen Carpenter, of Farmers' Legal Action Group, "Farming, race, and repair in the United States" (https://rdcu.be/fzGdM), and the second a collection of reflections on the occasion of the passing of Hamline's Beloved Community community awardee from 2023, "Celebrations of the nourishing and reconciling methods of Brother Melvin Giles, Elder Peace, as shared by the community organizations he loved and mentored" (https://rdcu.be/fzGdH).
