Made in India at the Cowles Center

Sonal Gerten, faculty member in the School of Business, will perform in Made in India, an original dance-drama at the Cowles Center this August. Sonal’s interest in the production connects with her work in marketing, where she explores storytelling and elevating experiences/perspectives that are often left untold. Told through theater, dance, puppetry, and movement, Made in India brings together more than 80 local artists and dancers to tell one woman’s journey from childhood to adulthood as she navigates identity, culture, family, and belonging. Hamline student Aura Bafna is also part of the cast! Several of the lead roles are double-cast. Sonal will perform in three of six shows: • Saturday, August 22 at 7:00 p.m. • Wednesday, August 26 at 7:00 p.m. — Pay What You Can Night ($10 minimum) • Friday, August 28 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets: https://www.saathmn.org/events/made-in-india Use code “saathifamily” for $5 off general admission tickets through August 15.
