Invitation to 2026 Convocation & Matriculation - September 8

President Hostetter invites the Hamline community to mark the beginning of the academic year and welcome new students at Convocation & Matriculation on Tuesday, September 8, on Klas Field (Rain site: Hutton Arena). Please arrive between 2:00 and 2:15 p.m.; the processional will begin at 2:15 p.m. and the program will conclude by 3:00 p.m.   This ritual is a time when we come together as a campus community to mark the beginning of the academic year, and warmly welcome the new students into our campus community, and hear a charge from President Hostetter for the 2026-27 academic year.    Faculty and Staff, your presence is important in helping to welcome and integrate our new students into the community. As such, we’d like for you all to be in the processional, forming an honor guard that leads the new students to the ceremony. The honor guard will comprise two lines through which the new students will walk as you warmly welcome them: cheering and high fives highly encouraged. Please meet on Klas Center plaza and event staff will help guide you to form the two lines. You will not process in regalia.
