Conference Presentation by HSEL Professors, Ittner & Basford

On November 20th, 20025, Dr(s.) Annie Ittner  and Letitia Basford presented research at the 2025 Minnesota English Learner Education Conference (MELEd). The presentation,  Flexibility Within Fidelity: Navigating Teacher Autonomy in a Science of Reading Era  shares findings from a two- year study exploring the experiences of teachers of multilingual students as they implement reading curriculum. The findings from year two illustrate the power of providing teachers with opportunities to be flexible while maintaining core aspects of the curriculum.
