President Hostetter invites the Hamline community to mark the beginning of the academic year—and welcome new students—at Hamline's 2025 Convocation and Matriculation.
The event will take place on Tuesday, September 2, on Klas Field (rain site: Hutton Arena). Please arrive between 2 and 2:15 p.m.; the processional will begin at 2:15 p.m. and the program will conclude by 3 p.m.
Your presence is important in helping to welcome our new students and integrate them into the community. We're asking all faculty and staff to please join us in the processional, forming an honor guard to guide new students to the ceremony. As students walk through, we'll warmly welcome them to Hamline (cheering and high fives are highly encouraged!). Please meet on Klas Center Plaza; event staff will guide you into lines for the honor guard. (In the event of rain, please meet in Walker Lobby.)
