Parrish and Egan Lead National Adult Education Training

 Education professor Betsy Parrish (Education professor) and Patsy Egan (ATLAS Director) recently led trainings for the Teaching Skills that Matter (TSTM) initiative, through the United States Department of Education in Washington, D.C.. This project has trained adult educators in 35 states to integrate the *skills* that matter to adult students using *approaches* that work across critical *topics*. Using the project's tools and training, adult education teachers can teach the transferable skills students need in these critical contexts.  Professor Parrish leads the Civics Education work, and Dr. Egan assists with curriculum and instruction.
