Tressa Constantineau Ries

Dr. Tressa Constantineau Ries serves as Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration and CFO at Hamline University and Mitchell Hamline School of Law. With more than 20 years of experience across public and private higher education, she has built high-performing financial teams and institutional frameworks that position organizations to navigate change with confidence and stability while honoring the institutional mission.

At Hamline, Tressa provides executive oversight of the university's $70M operating budget and $175M endowment, with direct responsibility for Budget and Planning, Financial and Business Services, Investment Management, Treasury Services, and Risk Management.

Tressa holds a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Higher Education Administration from St. Cloud State University, a Master of Education (MEd) in Higher Education Administration from Ohio University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a concentration in Accounting from St. Olaf College. She also serves as a peer reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).

Her professional certifications span accounting, finance, technology, and auditing, and include Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
