Dr. Therese Zosel-Harper serves as Hamline's interim provost. In this role, she provides strategic and academic leadership for the university, working to advance an inclusive, responsive, and high-quality educational experience for students, faculty, and staff.
Dr. Zosel-Harper brings more than a decade of experience in education leadership, program design, and organizational change management. Prior to joining Hamline, she served as national vice provost for teacher preparation at Relay Graduate School of Education, where she led the consolidation of educator licensure and degree programs from 15 regional sites into a single, centralized academic program. She previously served as founding dean of Relay Colorado, building an accredited teacher preparation program from the ground up, and held earlier roles at Relay New York and Teacher U at Hunter College focused on academic support and faculty development. She has also consulted for organizations including Columbia University's Center for Public Research and Leadership, the College Board, and local K-12 public education systems. She began her career as a high school social studies teacher and adolescent literacy specialist in New York City public schools.
Dr. Zosel-Harper holds a Ph.D. in Education Policy from Columbia University’s Teachers College, a Master of Science in Teaching Social Studies from Pace University, and a B.A. in Sociology from the Clark Honors College at the University of Oregon.
