Shacheyanna "SJ" Johnson will be returning in 2025-26 for her third year of service in Residential Life -- this time as the Student Area Coordinator for Manor Hall. In 2024-25, SJ served as the student area coordinator for the Heights residence halls (Osborn and Schilling), and in 2023-24, she was a First-Year Resident Assistant. With two-strong years of service under her belt, SJ has honed her abilities and confidently fosters a strong environment that is conducive for a very comprehensive student development process. She endorses the integration of intellectual insight and empathy in student interactions, fostering a nurturing atmosphere within the residence halls.
In addition to her role within ResLife, SJ contributes to campus security operations and actively participates in campus events, extending support to various organizational initiatives. Beyond her professional commitments, SJ is an avid reader and bibliophile, aspiring to curate a personal library.
SJ offers invaluable guidance to incoming students, emphasizing the importance of self-care, mental well-being, and practical tips for campus life, such as the essentiality of footwear in communal areas.
