Mary Jensen

Dr. Mary Jensen, Chief Operating Officer at Hamline University, is a seasoned higher education administrator with extensive expertise in student recruitment, retention, and enhancing the overall collegiate experience. Holding a Doctorate in Education from the University of St. Thomas, specializing in Organization Development, Dr. Jensen is recognized as a systems thinker, adept at navigating and optimizing complex organizational structures, with a proven ability to cultivate and lead high-performing teams.

Dr. Jensen is President Mayme Hostetter’s primary operational partner, overseeing undergraduate admission, graduate admission and advising, financial aid, marketing and communications, human resources and information technology services. Her strategic leadership and commitment to student success have significantly boosted enrollment and expanded program offerings. She excels in managing substantial budgets and leveraging technology to drive enrollment outcomes.

Before joining Hamline, Dr. Jensen served as Vice President for Enrollment and Strategic Growth at Eastern Mennonite University. Her focus on creating an inclusive educational environment and aligning strategic initiatives ensures equitable access and success for all students.
