Kate Losie is a student success specialist in the Center for Academic Success and Achievement (CASA) at Hamline University. She received her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Art and Social Science and her Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida. There, her studies focused on the impact of the educational environment on teacher attrition and student achievement. As a recent graduate herself and life long learner, Kate hopes to support students in defining their goals and navigating their academic journeys. Her advising philosophy is led by the belief that academic guidance means supporting students as a whole, both academically and personally.
Before joining Hamline, Kate spent ten years at Walt Disney World as a performer and trainer in the entertainment department. This journey has taught her about the value of communication, collaboration and creating welcoming environments, which is something she hopes to bring to her work with Hamline students.
