Jennifer Gehrig

Jen Gehrig serves as the director of Hamline's marketing, creative services, and website team. She has strong ties to Hamline, receiving both her BA in English and philosophy from Hamline and her JD from the Hamline School of Law (now the Mitchell Hamline School of Law). Jen also holds an MA in Theology from St. Catherine University. Jen brings her passion for advocacy and storytelling (hallmarks of all her degrees) to her role in marketing at Hamline.

Jen has served in several capacities in the marketing, creative services, and website office, beginning as the School of Education and Leadership marketing director. She now oversees the entire office, overseeing brand and program marketing, creative services (which supports both external marketing and the internal needs of the university), as well as the university's website. Jen oversaw the migration to a new CMS and a website content overhaul and redesign in 2022 and managed another large-scale redesign in 2023. 

Jen started her work with Hamline in 2006 as assistant dean in the School of Education and Leadership. She transitioned her work into marketing in 2013 and brings in-depth marketing, content strategy, and higher educational expertise to her role. 

When Jen isn't working, she enjoys observing the marketing efforts of other organizations, hunting for vintage treasures, visiting national parks, and spending time with her family.
