Jae Louwagie (they/them) is a professional in higher education whose primary goal is to walk alongside students throughout their collegiate journey by helping them identify and amplify their strengths through supportive coaching. Jae brings 5 years of experience in higher education to their role in the Career Development Center at Hamline. They are especially interested in providing individualized support that is rooted in equity.
Jae holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion from Wartburg College in Waverly, IA, as well as a Master of Arts degree in Postsecondary Education: Student Affairs from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, IA. Their education has led them to positions that have prioritized Career Development, Academic Advising, Residence Life, and Equity and Belonging.
In their free time, Jae enjoys spending time with their spouse and 3 cats, playing any one of the 7 instruments they’ve learned to varying levels of proficiency, and being outside: either on a bike, playing tennis, spending time by water, or playing yard games with friends and family. Jae is excited for the many opportunities that will allow them to get to know students, alumni, staff, and faculty alike.
