Ignatius, or Iggy, earned both his bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and his master’s degree in counseling psychology from the University of St. Thomas, where he is now a second-year doctoral student. Before coming to Hamline, he trained at the Interprofessional Center for Counseling and Legal Services at St. Thomas. Iggy enjoys helping students through issues related to anxiety, depression, and identity development. His therapeutic approaches include: person-centered counseling, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). Outside of work, Iggy enjoys spending time with his family, playing board games with friends, and building Gundams (when he has time).
