Grace Thuringer earned her bachelor's degree in psychology and her master's degree in counseling psychology from the University of St. Thomas, where she is now a second-year doctoral student. She worked in an outpatient mental health setting in Minneapolis for almost 2 years before joining Hamline. Grace enjoys supporting students with a variety of concerns, including anxiety, stress management, low self-esteem, depression, trauma, and life transitions. Her approach emphasizes empathy and curiosity while being informed by Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindful Self-Compassion, and Person-Centered Therapy. Outside of work, Grace enjoys baking, painting, yoga, watching movies, reading, and spending time with loved ones.
