
Faith Estelle-Velez
Faith Estelle-Velez (she/her) is a student affairs professional with 5+ years of experience in supporting student leadership and development. Her passions within higher education reside in helping students navigate the often challenging process of self-discovery, value discernment, and identity development. Faith brings experience in training, education, and advocacy related to healthy sexuality, sexual violence prevention, LGBTQIA+ identity development, and an advanced understanding of student development through a theory-to-practice lens.
Within her role as the Coordinator for Campus Pride and Gender Programs, Faith serves the Hamline student body by supporting the programs and efforts of the Campus Pride and Gender Center. Through educational, social, and community-centered programming, the Campus Pride and Gender Center aims to support all members of the Hamline community in their understanding of LGBTQIA+ identities, culture, and history, and foster a sense of belonging.
Faith holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with an emphasis in social justice from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls and a master’s in higher education and student affairs from Marquette University. In her free time, Faith is an avid reader, and enjoys hiking, hammocking, and cozy video games.
