Erin Hawley Cronin is an academic advisor in the Center for Academic Success and Achievement (CASA) at Hamline University. She received her Doctorate of Education in Curriculum Practice and Innovation from the University of South Carolina-Columbia; her dissertation was focused on mitigating students’ identity-based anxieties in secondary classrooms.

Erin has a wealth of teaching experience, having taught middle school, high school, and TRIO Upward Bound classes in English, geography, and electives. In addition, she has taught university writing classes, and supervised student teachers and practicum experiences.

Her experiences as a teacher, department chair, and middle school lead over the last two decades have cemented Erin's belief that all students need to know they are loved for free and their voices are important and deserve to be heard.

When Erin isn’t working, she enjoys reading, writing, cooking, playing board games with family and friends, and learning old-school video games.
