• Conference and Event Management

The Office of Conference and Event Management (CEM) provides a one-stop resource for event planning, coordination, and advising. We serve as an active partner to support the Hamline community in event and meeting needs while raising the image of the University and supporting its mission. Every event and meeting is treated with high importance and attention to detail.

    2020-2021 Reservations

Conference & Event Management (CEM) is accepting requests to book reservations for the 2020-2021 school year. All reservation requests are subject to review by the Executive Committee. Below is important information to consider when making a request.

Requests for bookings during fall 2020 semester:

-All event requests must be submitted at least 3 weeks prior to the event date.
-Virtual meetings should always be the first choice.
-Non-academic events and meetings are capped at 10 people indoors and 25 people outdoors, socially-distanced and masked.
-Be prepared to share the purpose of the event, number of attendees, proposed location(s), specific food plans, and other information as requested.
-Room capacities are significantly reduced to meet safety guidelines.
-Classroom and event spaces (e.g., Anderson 111/112, KFR, etc..) have been strictly configured to meet safety standards; moving furniture is prohibited.
-Food consumption is not allowed at events and meetings. Drinks must have either a lid or utilize a straw, so that they can be consumed either wearing a mask or with the mask immediately replaced after drinking.
-Grab & go style food options are allowed as long as all food and utensils are prepackaged (e.g., chips, water bottles, boxed lunches), and may not be consumed in indoor meeting spaces.
-All activity on-campus must comply with the COVID-19 Preparedness Plan .
-Events must have a designated person to monitor and enforce safety guidelines for event attendees.

    Requests for 2021 bookings:

CEM will place a hold on a space, with the caveat that reservations are subject to change or cancellation. We will stay in touch with you as the University’s plans progress, and safety guidelines evolve. We are ready to work with you to adjust reservations and assist you as needed.
