About the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts
In collaboration with the President, Provost, and College faculty, the Dean exercises overall responsibility for the operation of the College. This includes establishing academic priorities, providing leadership in strategic and long-range planning, overseeing the recruitment, development, evaluation, and retention of the faculty, managing the College’s financial resources, supporting student retention and success, and working with development and alumni offices in College fundraising efforts. The Dean also represents the College and its academic programs and faculty in cooperative efforts within the university and to off-campus community constituencies.
