Curt Lund, Associate Professor in Digital + Studio Arts, presented as part of an international research roundtable for the Society of Architectural Historians.
Lund presented alongside historians from Belgium and Sweden at the roundtable "New Research on the 1925 Paris Exhibition" which took place March 27, organized by SAH's Historic Interiors affiliate group.
Lund's presentation, "Alexey Brodovitch and the 1925 Paris Exposition as Launchpad," explored the absence of American design and designers at the international exposition, award-winning work by emerging multidisciplinary designer Brodovitch on display at the expo, and recent archival discoveries connecting these two aspects leading to Brodovitch's emigration to the U.S. in 1930.
