Students must learn to live and learn among people whose opinions and life experiences diverge from their own to flourish as learners, citizens, and employees in diverse workplaces.
As we see students matriculate without these skills--having grown up in increasingly homogenous neighborhoods and in a polarized political climate--classrooms, campuses and communities need new strategies to prepare students to disagree deeply while fostering a welcoming community.
Join us on Monday, November 10th to hear from two college and university leaders about how their campuses have met these challenges with deliberate strategies to uphold inclusion and free expression values that prepare their students for life on campus and after graduation.
