Moroz Presented in Philadelphia

Karen Moroz, Professor in the School of Education and Leadership, presented Using Transformative Potential Based Research to Help Turn the Story at the national convening of CPED. CPED (Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate) is an international, collaborative network on colleges of education focused on ensuring EdD programs that are rigorous and directly relevant to real-world challenges. Dr. Moroz's presentation shared her collaborative work that looks to frame research towards the potential of a situation which requires one to address the system, to consider the process and steps forward, and to more fully engage stakeholders in research. The Transformative Potential-Based Research (TPBR) theory, created by Moroz and former HU colleague Dr. Trish Harvey,  guides researchers through a paradigm shift away from problem-solving toward seeing where the potential exists and finding ways to reach it.
