Area Coordinator
Work space: St. Paul Main Campus > Drew Residence Hall > Drew Residence Hall DRH 202

Stasia Higgins, Area Coordinator of Drew Hall, has worked at Hamline University since 2022. She supervises seven Resident Assistants in Drew Hall and two Student Area Coordinators across campus.

Stasia attended Hamline University for her bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice with a minor in Forensic Science and graduated summa cum laude. As a student, she was very involved with Residential Life: she worked in the Res Life office, at the Sorin Information Desk, as a summer conference assistant and summer RA. Her favorite part of working in Res Life as a student was giving tours and information to incoming students and their families.

Stasia is a published criminologist who spent five years working on mass shooting prevention with non-profit The Violence Project, founded by Hamline professor Dr. Jillian Peterson. This work had Stasia studying the psychosocial life variables of all US mass shooters since 1966 and coding the information into the largest-ever database of information for criminologists to use as a basis for research.

Stasia loves spending time with her cat, watching movies, and listening to mystery audiobooks. She has a large collection of art, which she buys from local artists and thrift shops.
