Biography

Nina LaCour is the author of four critically acclaimed young adult novels published by Dutton Books for Young Readers: Hold StillThe DisenchantmentsEverything Leads to You, and her most recent novel, We Are Okaypublished February 14, 2017. You Know Me Well was written in collaboration with David Levithan, and published in 2016 by St. Martin's Griffin. She is the co-founder of Write Teen, a series of YA writing classes. Her novels have earned selections by the Junior Library Guild, ALA Best Books for Young Adults, and Chicago Public Library’s Best of the Best Books and have appeared on many other state and regional lists. They have also earned a Northern California Book Award and a William C. Morris Honor award. Nina was featured in Publishers Weekly as a Flying Starts Author. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her wife, photographer Kristyn Stroble, and their daughter.
