Scholars Day: A special invitation-only admission event 

Scholars Day is an invitation-only event to celebrate high-achieving high school learners. Join us as we showcase Hamline's outstanding academic opportunities!

This special day highlights the four pillars of the University Honors Program: academic excellence, undergraduate research, community involvement, and individual development as a lifelong learner. You'll participate in interactive academic breakout sessions, full campus and unique interest tours, and the chance to hear from Hamline faculty and current students about what makes Hamline an extraordinary place to learn and prepare for your career.

  • Global Engagement: Study Away: Discover Hamline’s wide variety of study away programs, from short-term travel opportunities to semester-long and Hamline exchange programs. Students and faculty will be on hand to share stories of their recent experiences. West Hall 103
  • Parents and Guardians Only Session: Join us for a Q&A session that gives parents, guardians, and guests the opportunity to learn more about the benefits of the Hamline experience and how to be a partner in supporting their students throughout their college years. Topics will include the value of a liberal arts education, orientation and the first-year experience, and student resources. Anderson Center 305
  • Sample Class: Overview of Fingerprint Evidence and Examination (for students only)Hands-on learning, approachable professors, and engaging discussions are hallmarks of our classroom experience. Attend this session to get a good idea of what you might experience in a Hamline classroom. This sample class will be taught by Dr. Jamie Spaulding, assistant professor of forensic science. West Hall 101
  • Undergraduate Research Opportunities: Each year, Hamline is one of the best-represented institutions at the annual National Conference for Undergraduate Research. Attend this session to learn how students engage in inquiry-driven projects in various disciplines and develop hands-on, career-relevant research projects with the help of Hamline faculty. West Hall 105

  • Undergraduate Research Opportunities: Each year, Hamline is one of the best-represented institutions at the annual National Conference for Undergraduate Research. 12:15 p.m. Buffet lunch with Hamline faculty, staff, and current students: During lunch, a short presentation about the Hamline University Honors Program will be shared by the faculty director and a current honors student. Anderson Center 112
1:15 p.m. Academic Programs Fair and Dessert Reception: During the Academic Programs Fair, meet faculty from various departments and gather information about your academic interest areas. Anderson Center Forum

Parking information

Parking is available in all of the campus parking lots and on neighborhood streets. Permits are not required, though an hourly rate (payment by card only) will be charged if you park in the Anderson Center underground ramp.
