Description: “Social change leadership and resistance to deteriorating human rights for LGBTQ+ individuals requires tremendous mental, physical, and spiritual energy. How do we continue to fuel this work and maintain our health and wellbeing? What can we do to strengthen our foundation of resilience and add to our reservoir of energy to sustain social movement work? Audre Lorde reminds us: “Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare.” In this session, we will promote strategies for radical self-love in order to sustain and strengthen our individual and collective resilience. Additionally, we will engage in developing our own plan for resilience by centering strategies and resources for our daily lives.” -Saby Labor.
