Participating in Hamline's Overnight Visit Program is the best way to experience what it's like to be a piper.  Get the inside scoop from actual students and professors on the classroom experience, the best places to eat on campus, what to do for fun, and much more.

Overnight Visits are available to seniors in high school, Sunday-Thursday during fall-spring semesters. We also host a special Discover Hamline Overnight event every year in February over President's Day Weekend.

    Personal Experiences:

Overnight 1“The remarkable thing about an overnight visit at Hamline is how fast campus becomes your home. On my visit I met with professors from the majors of my interest, attended student-led functions, and dominated the Sorin Game Room's air hockey table. The overnight visit program is what assured me that this is where I want to spend the next few years of my life, and I couldn't be happier.”  - Catie Kleindl, First Year Student
“I toured tons of colleges my senior year of high school looking for somewhere that fit me as an individual. I toured Hamline towards the end of my search and stayed overnight with some really nice girls. I expected a lot of structure and questioning like I had experienced at all of the other places I went to. But the cool part was that we just hung out and watched The Perks of Being a Wallflower with pretty much everyone on the floor. It was completely relaxed and focused more on showing me what a normal college student did and was less about selling the school to me. After my Hamline overnight I realized expense didn't equate to quality - the quality was in finding a school that felt welcoming. A school that felt like home.” - Alexis Dykema, Sophomore

Overnight 2"Staying overnight solidified my decision to attend Hamline. On top of that, I met a few awesome people that I was able to connect with during the summer to find out what classes to take and stuff to remember to bring. Plus, there were a few familiar faces on campus in the fall!" - Remi Remmey, First Year Student
Overnight 3“I really enjoyed the overnight visit program in because I had the flexibility of being a prospective student, and also being a “college student.” I sat with friends I knew that came here, met with professors in some of the majors I wanted to pursue, and I also got to sit in some classes. It made me feel a part of Hamline and that is why I chose this school!”  - Madalynn Rymer, First Year Student
