Calling all students majoring in digital and studio art with a concentration in fine arts! Hamline’s Art Scholarship is a special opportunity to showcase your artistic aptitude and be rewarded up to $3,000 for it. If you’re eligible, this scholarship can be renewed for three years. If you’re a prospective student, we’re excited to help you learn more about the digital and studio art major for studio arts students. In our program, you’ll learn from accomplished faculty and spend time in studio spaces for painting, printmaking, sculpture, and drawing. At the end, you’ll have a cohesive body of creative work that’s all your own.

Art scholarship criteria

Wondering how to get an art scholarship and if you’re eligible to apply? Students must submit their admission materials and receive an offer of admission to Hamline before applying for any departmental scholarships.

Applicants will be reviewed based on their art portfolio and how they communicate their passion for art through the required materials.

To maintain the scholarship annually, students must:

  • Declare a major in digital and studio art with a concentration in fine arts by the end of their sophomore year
  • Maintain a 3.0 GPA
