  • Community Partners

    Keystone Community Services

Since 2017, Hamline University has partnered with Keystone Community Services to provide food to students. If there is ever leftover food from Hamline's own food distribution, volunteers will bring the food to Keystone's brick and mortar location on University Avenue.

    The Food Group

The Food Group is a local food distribution center in New Hope, MN, that distributes food to food shelves in the area. Through The Food Group, Hamline purchases the food for the Food Resource Center at a discounted rate. The GLEAN Team, a program of The Food Group, is a produce recovery and gleaning program where students can volunteer to travel to a local farm to harvest leftover produce for distribution.

To volunteer with GLEAN, contact: Produce Programs Manager at the Food Group, Danielle Piraino at dpiraino@thefoodgroupmn.org

    Twin Cities Food Justice

Twin Cities Food Justice is a nonprofit food organization based in Minneapolis that works with co-ops, grocery stores, and farmers markets to redistribute food to local hunger relief organizations. Hamline partners with Twin Cities Food Justice to provide recovered produce and bread for the Food Resource Center once a week.
