    Dunrovin Retreat Center
    October 13-14, 2011

This year's theme for the Wesley Scholars' and Mahle Scholars' retreat was "Keeping our Lives in Balance".  We traveled to Dunrovin Retreat Center, along the St. Croix River near Stillwater for an overnight of spiritual exploration, journaling, guided meditation, baking bread and getting to know one another better.  Participants included Wesley Scholars:  Michael Riley,  Rachel Marzahn, Rola Alkatout, Mac Garrett, Jozie Nummi, Cassidy Kleinheksel, Caitlin Nosanov, and Beth Ziebarth; and Mahle Scholars: Christine Hubred and Kaisa Jackson.  Religious and Spiritual Life staff from the Wesley Center included Megan Dimond and Nancy Victorin-Vangerud.

Six different groups of Hamline students traveled across the country during spring break for the Wesley Center's signature Catalyst Alternative Spring Break Trips. The Hamline community can read about the students' experiences on the Catalyst blog. Catalyst is designed to provide students with an opportunity to learn about social justice, reflect on their roles in the community, and contribute via service over spring break.
