    Open Enrollment and Info Sessions

    Open enrollment for 2019 benefits selection will officially begin on Monday, November 12, 2018 and end on Wednesday, November 28, 2018.Every benefit-eligible employee who intends to maintain their coverage in 2019 must re-enroll during the open enrollment period. If you do not participate in open enrollment, your coverage will be discontinued effective January 1, 2019. 

    The 2019 Benefits Presentation will be held on the following dates. A recording of the presentation will be available here after the live presentations.  The 2019 Benefit Guide is located here. Paper copies of the 2019 Benefit Guide will be available at the Open Enrollment presentations listed below: 

    • Monday, November 12, 2018 at 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. in West Hall 105
    • Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. in Anderson Center 305

    Open enrollment will be hosted in Workday this year. Enrolling in benefits will be easier to complete, and more efficient. To access Workday, please click on Logins at the top of the Hamline web page, select Workday, and log in using your Hamline username and password. Once in Workday, there will be an action item in your inbox inviting you to select and confirm your benefits. The invitation will not be sent to your inbox until the first day of open enrollment.

    Benefit Timeline

    Depending on eligibility, benefits are effective on the first of the month following the date of hire.  Changes can be made to benefit elections during the initial enrollment period, Annual Open Enrollment, or within 30 days of a Life Event. Contact the Benefits Administrator if you have questions regarding these enrollment periods.

    To make benefit elections as a new hire, employees will receive an action item in their inbox to complete their new hire enrollment. To access Workday, please click on Logins at the top of the Hamline web page, select Workday, and log in using your Hamline username and password. The enrollment information will not be sent to new hires until all other new hire tasks are completed. 

    If you are making changes to your benefits due to a qualified live changing event, please click on the Benefits worklet and select "Benefits" under the Change section. This will bring you to the correct page to complete. This is the same place you go to make changes to your HSA contributions. 

    If you are making changes to your retirement contributions, click on "Retirement Contributions" under the Change section of the page. This will bring you to the correct page to complete.
