A Message from President Miller

As we enjoy another holiday season, please accept my heartfelt thanks and gratitude for your hard work over the last year. There is no doubt that without your effort, dedication and professionalism, Hamline would not be what it is today. I am proud to say this wherever I go, and I deeply appreciate all you have done to advance this institution.

As a small measure of my appreciation for your work, I have authorized a change to the 2022-23 holiday schedule. The campus will close Friday, December 23, 2022 and reopen on Monday, January 2, 2023. This adds four days to the holiday schedule as paid leave for staff this fiscal year. Staff employees who have already requested time off during this period should rescind their requests through Workday as soon as possible.

Offices providing needed essential services will remain open. I ask supervisors to work with employees in those particular areas of our operation to ensure the additional time off is provided consistent with department needs.

You make great personal sacrifices to keep Hamline running smoothly. I hope you are able to use this time, which is so often spent in the company of family and friends, to enjoy the holiday season.

Again, thank you, thank you, thank you for all you do for Hamline.

Sincerely,
Fayneese Miller, PhD
President
