The Food Resource Center, at the north end of the Walker Field House (diagonally across from the Klas Center) will be open for pickup. In-person shopping is available during the following times:

  • Monday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday: 2 to 6 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 12 to 6 p.m.
  • Thursday: 3 to 6 p.m.
  • Friday: 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Food Resource Center is a place where any student—undergraduate or graduate—and faculty or staff member can get shelf stable food, fresh produce, and basic needs resources, regardless of financial status. If you are looking for resources, order from the ordering form.

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides money to low income folks to pay for groceries. To learn more and see if you are eligible, check out the Food Resource Center's Linktree. After you complete the referral form, the Food Access Coordinator will contact you about next steps.

Smaller meal kits are also available in the Free Store (Drew Science 117) along with clothes, dorm wares, and various office supplies. The Free Store is always open; please help keep it tidy. Internships can also be arranged with the Free Store; contact sustainability@hamline.eduVisit the Free Store's Google Site for helpful tips and more information.

The Hamline Gardens and MicroFarm are also available for picking and community gathering, and the Peace and Appreciation gardens north of East Hall have a great picnic table for outside meeting. The sustainability crew will host regular work and play days in the gardens, Fridays from 2 to 4 p.m. in September and October, unless there's lightning. Please join us, and feel free to eat the produce: It's for you!
