• Summer Orientation and Registration (SOAR)

    Completion of this Summer Orientation and Registration is mandatory

     

    SOAR is the first of two required orientation programs for all new students to help make your experience at Hamline exceptional. During this program, you will have the opportunity to:

    • Interact with offices and departments to get your questions answered

    • Meet other incoming new first year students and the New Student Mentors (NSM)

    • Work with a faculty and advisor and the staff from the Academic Advising Office to better understand the Hamline Plan and course registration

    • Register for your first semester of courses at Hamline

    Please note these schedules are subject to change, but the general content and timing will remain the same.

    *Lunch and Dinner on Day 1, as well as Breakfast on Day 2 is included for students
    *Lunch on Day 1 and a Continental Breakfast on Day 2 is included for families and guest.

    Registration for SOAR will open Spring 2019.  

    SOAR I -  June 17-18
    SOAR II -  June 19-20
    SOAR III -   June 21-22
    SOAR IV -   July 15-16
    SOAR V-   July 17-18
    SOAR VI -   July 19-20

    Parents/family are welcome to attend this event and will have focused programs directed to guests. We have a complete schedule of sessions and information for parents. The parent program is a great way to gain more information on resources for you and your students, meet other parents, and connect with the Hamline Community! We are unable to provide on-campus housing for parents, but parents that would like to stay in the area may find this list of nearby hotels useful.
