Living in one of Hamline University's residence halls offers you a wide range of special housing options and living arrangements, including coed and single-gender living and special-interest communities. All of our halls are smoke-free.
Included in your housing costs are: Cable TV with streaming service, Wi-Fi, onsite laundry facilities, and a MicroFridge unit in each room. Living on campus also provides social and study lounges, barrier-free access in Sorin Hall, a 24-hour security escort service, quiet hours, and planned hall and floor activities to meet friends.

Drew Hall
With its modern dorm rooms renovated in 2021, Drew Hall is home to a community of roughly 200 undergraduate students in single and double rooms.
Manor Hall
Manor Hall is a Tudor-style residence hall which houses a little more than 100 students in single, double, triple, and quad rooms. Manor Hall has a picturesque stone tower sheltering the main entrance. Residents are encouraged to become involved with Manor Hall Council, which provides a great opportunity for students to get involved and enhance their leadership skills.
Sorin Hall
Sorin Hall houses just over 100 students on same-gender floors: Two women-identified floors and one men-identified floor. Sorin Hall features ample storage space, large windows, and direct access to a recreation and computer room located on the first floor. Sorin Hall is also barrier-free.
The Heights: Osborn, Peterson, and Schilling
Osborn, Peterson, and Schilling Residence Halls, collectively known as the Hamline Heights, are a triplet of identical buildings, each housing nearly 100 students each. Osborn Hall, Peterson Hall, and Schilling Hall are co-ed communities with carpeted rooms.
Special-interest communities
Hamline's special-interest communities offer an opportunity for students to live with like-minded individuals and participate in special programming surrounding a theme. Residents living in special-interest communities create and adhere to standards and guidelines for the community and work in collaboration with their resident assistants (RAs) and staff members to create diverse programming. We offer four special-interest communities: Global Piper Community, Honors Community, and LGBT and Social Justice Community.
