CJFS Department Hosts U.S. Department of State Roundtable

Roundtable of Leaders from Pakistan at Hamline University

On Monday, September 19, 2016, through the Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program, the Criminal Justice and Forensic Science Department hosted a roundtable of leaders from Pakistan. The panel provided guests with an overview of the U.S. federal system of government, discussed our educational model for future law enforcement officers, and provided information about new biometric and forensic technologies.

Guests from Pakistan include the superintendent of police from Umerkot, Pakistan; senior superintendent of central police from Karachi, Pakistan; superintendent of police operation from Karachi, Pakistan; and the deputy inspector of general police in Karkana Range, Pakistan. The guests from Pakistan met with Professors Shelly Schaefer, Gina Erickson, and Glenn Hardin, as well as Julie Jonas from the Minnesota Innocence Project.
