Professor Dong Invited to Present in China

Lifeng Dong, professor and the Emma K. and Carl R. N. Malmstrom Endowed Chair in Physics, was invited to give colloquium talks on the development of multifunctional graphene-based nanocomposites for energy conversion and storage. He presented at four institutions in China during 2018 J-term: Tianjin Polytechnic University, Taishan Medical University, Qingdao University, and General Research Institute for Nonferrous Metals. Dong also gave a talk on electrocatalysis and fuel cells at the Nature Conference Materials Electrochemistry: Fundamentals & Applications in Shenzhen, China on January 13-15.

Dong currently works with his collaborators and undergraduate students to design, synthesize/fabricate, and characterize nanoscale materials and devices — including solar cells, fuel cells, supercapacitors, and lithium batteries — for energy conversion and storage, as well as water purification and desalination.
